Bibhutibhusan Dutta: A Sage Mathematician

Abstract

Bibutibhusan Dutta (Swami Vidyaranya in later life), a successful professor of mathematics, has glorified India by bringing in limelight the significant contributions of Indian mathematicians of ancient period as well as doing high level mathematical research in applied mathematics. In this work, life and scientific contributions of Prof. Dutta have been discussed with special emphasis on history of mathematics of ancient India.
